PostScript Media

PostScript Media - An Introduction PostScript Media was set-up in November 2006 as a small company specialising in freelance writing, web design and content, public relations and marketing. Question: Why is the company called PostScript Media? Answer: PS are my initials so I thought it appropriate to include them somewhere in the name of the company. PS also stands for Post Script (hence the name). I just put the two words together with two capital letters - hence PostScript Media was born. But my thoughts went a little deeper than that. A postscript or PS is usually thought to be an afterthought in a letter, but it is very rarely that. Very often the PS is the most interesting and important part of the letter. It's the bit people want to tell you about but don't want to make it seem as if they are boasting about an achievement etc. After pages of inconsequential bits and pieces they will add something stunning as in PS I forgot to tell you that I'm getting married next month or PS I thought you might like to know that I have just won £5,000 on the lottery so that trip to see you this year is back on. Any bad news will be included in other parts of the letter. So PS is usually good news - need I say more? Question: What Does PostScript Media Do? Answer: PostScript Media can provide a number of bespoke services all tailored to the individual needs. A full description of our services can be found by clicking on the links on the left. In short we have the following services. Question: What is your background and Qualifications Answer: I trained as a journalist and joined Eastern Counties Newspapers in the early 1970s, working as a general reporter at a number of places in Norfolk and Suffolk including Lowestoft, Norwich, Cromer and Beccles. I then joined a news agency in Nottingham where I worked on behalf of many of the national daily papers before spending a short time as editor of a weekly newspaper in Derbyshire. I returned to Norfolk as a sub editor on a series of weekly newspapers and subsequently became sports editor before joining Norfolk Constabulary as its first civilian press and public relations officer in 1989. I worked for the police until 2006, filling a number of positions including Head of Media, Head of Marketing Operations and E-Communications Manager. I left the police to pursue outside interests which have included the setting up of PostScript Media. I hold the National Council for the Training of Journalists Proficiency Certificate, a Masters Degree in Professional Development from the University of East Anglia and diplomas in Life Coaching and Sports Psychology. Question: What are your views on customer care? Answer: The customer is still the most important person. Sadly we seem to have lost sight of this all too often. I like to provide a fast, effective and efficient service tailor made to my customers by working closely with them to produce a service that they are happy with Question: How can we contact you to find out more about your services and prices? Answer: Simply e-mail me your interests and provide me with a contact telephone number and I'll get back to you. E-mail me by clicking here.
