Caggagbeg (A Place to Be)Oh Carragbeg that place on the moors, Where feelings linger so strong, To return to that place of far distant shores To be amongst the throng My friends there live, by mountain streams By cross thatch hut and weary climb, O oft time wanderings I would dream, Of days when better was the time. For long I wandered by that brook And inward in my soul was thinking, The shape at first that I mistook Was homeward, listless, linking.Return to poetry index page Return to home page
