Poems on Proverbs a/ The Loser They say that he who hesitates is lost, but is he? What is the point anyway? What is the point of anything? Perhaps he who hesitates will become the richer For the loss of a pursuit of pleasure may do no harm. Surely to sit at home and think about the way one leads one's life is more important than the pleasures of that life. He who hesitates in worldly matters is saved, but he who is lost through hesitating with religion will never be saved.

Can it be believed that absence makes the heart grow fonder? Or must we dissolve the myth within our own bodies? |
