Poems on Proverbs

a/ The Loser

They say that he who hesitates is lost, but is he?

What is the point anyway?

What is the point of anything?

Perhaps he who hesitates will become the richer

For the loss of a pursuit of pleasure may do no harm.

Surely to sit at home and think

about the way one leads one's life

is more important than the pleasures of that life.

He who hesitates in worldly matters is saved, but he

who is lost through hesitating with religion will never be saved.

b/ The Departure

Can it be believed that absence makes the heart grow fonder?

Or must we dissolve the myth within our own bodies?
