Hopefully you will have gathered from my music writings that I am a serious rock/pop listener. Now this cannot be an exact science as what are important rock/pop albums to me will not be regarded as so by others. So once again I underline that the views expressed in my music review section are mine and mine alone. I apologies if I fail to say good things about your favourite album. You can of course respond and have your own say by e-mailing me by clicking here.

Below I am beginning to divide the rock era into various years. The albums listed under each year will eventually be reviewed, Those listed are the ones that I feel should be reviewed. Once again apologies about the lack of variety (e.g no jazz reviews). I can only say in my defence that I am a rock fan and this will be reflected by the albums I feel demand to be reviewed. There will be many crossover artists as well but my criteria for choosing what to review will be.

So let me explain exactly what I will be doing in these pages. I have assigned a page to each year from 1963 to 2010 and intend reviewing albums from that year, given the following criteria.

1/ What are generally considered by those in the know to be important rock/pop music albums

2/ Albums that have a specific meaning for me

3/ Albums by major artists.
