Writing for the internet is not only highly therapeutic, but has brought me in touch with some wonderful people. Some come into my life and quickly disappear, others have become firm friends. This section includes just some of the comments received on my site and writings. If you have any comments please e-mail me by clicking here.

From Peggy Givens - December 1997

As a result of my family genealogy, Peggy Givens contacted me to send a history of the Steward family in America. Copies of this are available in the genealogy section of my family web site at www.stewardfamily.org.uk

In her initial e-mail Peggy had the following to say:

"I found you on the Internet "Stewards in England." Enjoyed reading your page and found some interesting items: (1) Your love of Jim Webb's music - his father was a Baptist minister in my home town, and my brother was a schoolmate of his brother. (2) Your music tastes - I, too, enjoy some of your favourite songs. (3) Love of poetry - I dabble in poetry writing and also journalism, being a retired "English" teacher, I now spend my spare time reaching anthropology and archeelogy, plus genealogy. I'm a researcher and writer, having my own publishing company. Wrote my first book on my mother's father of Steward/ts in 1994. Distributed all over America and now out of print. I'm currently working on book 2. Perhaps you and I are related distantly. I have grandchildren about your children's ages.
